The human brain is so complex and rapidly changing. The neocortex is made up of an estimated 12 to 15 billion nerve cells called neurons. It is an amazingly perplexing riddle like the universe that defies imagination and arouses infinite admiration and awe. All human brains are of a very similar hardware but they are vastly different in their individual functions. Why? What are the operating programs behind them?

Why are the brains of some people capable of miraculous performances whereas others cannot, although they have almost the same type of hardware? What secret on earth lies behind this?

When modern scientists magnify the neurons to the maximum or slice them into the thinnest pieces, they have so far failed to uncover the secret. That is why the sophistication of the brain has been a worldwide research subject?

Prof. Wang De Kun, a renowned Chinese electroencephalograph expert, has made a significant stride forward on the road of research into the secret of the human brain. Through his invention of the Brainsmaster, Prof. Wang has discovered the features of chaotic dynamics of the brain and for the first time in the world proved that it is possible to find physical expression of the activities of thinking of the brain nerves from the angle of chaotic dynamics.

The patent technology of BRAINSMASTER, which may be termed as “the Method and Tool for Dealing with the Quadrant of Biological Activities”, has been the fruit of Prof. Wang’s decades of research on more than 20,000 clinical experiments. His discovery was granted patent right (No. ZL891 04320.9) under the patent name of “Method and Tool for Dealing with the Quadrant of Biological Activities” from the Patent Office of the People’s Republic of China on June 13, 1993.

Prof. Wang is a famous specialist in electroencephalograph, Ph. D. tutor of the Peking Physical Culture University, and Researcher of the Engineering Academy of Chinese Medicine of Shanxi Province.

The BRAINSMASTER technology is a mathematic model based on the principle of the science of chaos through research into and application of the quadrant electro-encephalon graph as well as a physic-geometrical graph that records the brain waves with the digital photography of the computer. That makes it possible to present in vivid geometrical forms the features of the wisdom, intelligence, sentiments, individualities and thinking qualities and other sophisticated activities of the human brain. Thus the process of thinking of the brain has found its physic expressions. The quadrant electro-encephalon graph may serve as a bridge between ideology and matter.

Soon after this discovery, the Chinese National Women’s Volleyball Team which had won five world titles in succession suffered a debacle in Seoul, South Korea, notably owing to a serious insufficient reserve force. After that, Prof. Li Ange of the Chinese Physical Culture University, who was also an adviser to the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team, began preparations for building a “Chinese Women’s Volleyball Hope Team” of youngsters.

Why should the losing team that was comparable in physical prowess, body height and all other physical aspects to the former “invincible team” with five world titles have failed to scintillate any more?

Then what else a smart athlete should possess in addition to body height, physical prowess, sprint, dexterity, muscular power, experience and many other factors? Why the members of the new national team could not play as well as the champion team?

In order to find the answer, Prof. Li Ange worked in cooperation with Prof. Wang De Kun. They conducted tests with BRAINSMASTER on the members of the former Chinese champion team and their findings were stunning enough -- the quadrant electro-encephalon graph deciphered the secret to the success of the former champion team! A detailed report on the secrets of the brains of the members of the former champion team appeared on the “Sports Journal”, the most prestigious sports newspaper in China.

They found that in addition to superb physical prowess and excellent sports skills, an outstanding sportsman or sportswoman must possess a sport-oriented and contesting brain, without which no matter how hard training can in no way bring up an outstanding sportsman, or sportswoman.

The quadrant electro-encephalon graphs show that the members of the former champion Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team all possessed the qualities suited to becoming top-class sportswomen with brains capable of fierce contests in sports games, a superb strategic and tactic thinking as well as a strong sense of teamwork. A typical case is the former setter Liang Yan. That explained the reason why that team was capable of five-straight wins of world titles.

Prof. Li An Ge hopes to pick some youngsters to form a women’s volleyball team with reference to the quadrant electro-encephalon graphs and electroencephalographs of those former members of the champion Chinese team. He asked Prof. Wang De Kun to take such graphs on a group of teenager volley players. He chose those with the graphs similar to that of the former champion players to form a Hope Team. Feng Kun, captain of the current Chinese National Women’s Volleyball Team, is one of the youngsters chosen by Prof. Li based on electro-encephalon graphs provided by Prof. Wang.

Feng Kun was chosen with the reference of the 1th generation of BrainsMaster of Liang Yan. Like Liang, Feng Kun also has the fine qualities of contesting spirit, good strategic and tactic thinking and a strong sense of teamwork reflected in her BrainsMaster’s graph.
